Canon: Identity V (sometime in the ambiguous Manor Games; that is, a similar time point to where Mira has placed Helena
Age: 19 (as of her death and subsequent entrance to the Manor)

Powers/Abilities: Got a few, but they're all related.

- Levitation: Grace hovers about six inches off the ground a bit faster than your average terrified person runs, but can still use furniture.

- Harpoon: Grace's harpoon is, in all meaningful senses, a part of her. It needs to be attached to her body somehow; a ribbon, a rope, in her hand. If separated from her, either on purpose or by accident, it returns within 10 seconds or when Grace calls it to her, traveling in a straight line and phasing through objects. The harpoon CANNOT harm people or other living things when thrown or when returning.

- Darkest Depths: When she so chooses, Grace leaves unnatural puddles of water in her wake and in the wake of her harpoon (thrown and returned). The puddles last for 20 seconds, and build up a strange humidity on those who step on them or stay within a shape made by them. As humidity builds up the victim feels as if they're drowning in the open air; if it's allowed to build up completely, they are struck by "creatures from the depths" which appear to maul them before vanishing. Once mauled, the victim ceases to feel as if drowning, and is immune to the puddles for several seconds (player's note: if it's possible to keep the mauling somehow I sure would like to. IDV is not clear on where those creatures come from or what they are, only implying that they are somehow related to Hastur in his aspect as the "god of the lake"; possibly the Depths from which they're summoned are something Grace hauls around with her and does not comprehend).

- Surging Tides: Grace moves much faster while disarmed, and can dash into people. The impact does not do direct harm (and indeed bounces Grace off them slightly), but does soak them in a large amount of humidity, as above.

Inventory: This outfit, her harpoon, and a plate of freshly-cooked oysters

Job History:

- Infant: Chief responsibilities included floating down a river in a fishing basket and getting adopted; absolutely nailed both.

- False Messiah: Job skills mainly included getting her freedom and autonomy trampled on by people who refused to understand her, then getting sacrificed to Hastur when they decided that Grace - the god they raised up themselves over her objections - was a false idol. However, during this time Grace did study the fish of the Lakeside Village.

- Hunter: As a Hunter of the Manor, Grace was charged with "enforcing the rules" of its death game; tasked with hunting down teams of 4 survivors, disrupting their teamwork and ability to complete their assigned objectives, and brutally murdering them. A note; the ability of Survivors to meaningfully fight back was rather limited, and Grace, for all that she's some kind of Lovecraftian horror, doesn't actually know how to fight. Her style of horror was more about denying safe places, cutting off retreat, and outrunning opponents to force them to choose between a fast death at the hands of her harpoon or a slow one from the Depths.

Suppressions:

- Yearning: Grace wants to be a normal girl. Really, she does, but she tells herself it's never going to happen - certainly not after FUCKING DYING - and hides her longing behind her pride.

- Existential Dread: What is Grace? What was her future supposed to look like after the slaughter of her village? Does she even belong in the world any more? Running from this one is harder than denying her dream of normalcy.

- Zeusophobia: Guess what's a real word? Gods creep Grace the fuck out, not helped by the bit where the two she knew personally included FUCKING HASTUR and Yidhra, both beings of horrific nature and cruel amusements. Which, speaking of:

- Fucking Hastur: This one's not so much an intentional suppression as it is Grace being whole-ass ignorant. She knows the god who remade her as "the god of the lake", and as his Hunter title from the Manor ("the Feaster"); she has no clue he's the King in Yellow, absolutely no idea she gives off King in Yellow vibes, and it's gonna be an issue when people related to him such as [CHARACTER NAMES REDACTED TO NOT SPOIL THEIR CANON FOR PEOPLE; detail plotted with their players in advance of application] notice.

Greatest Fear
: The life she's been given being taken away; not by violence, but simply rescinded, a loan now called in to return her to her miserable and meaningless death

Greatest Desire: To be reborn as a "normal girl", someone who's not mute or a weird undead horror.

Greatest Regret: Honestly there's not a lot she's done that Grace is sorry for, but her friendship with Helena has given her strange and guilty feelings about her role in the Manor, and the way she was free to use people as a vent for her own misery
