Because I want to get to be a normal teenager. I’m tired of fighting, and as long as I have these powers, I’ll be obligated to. To be someone who can save the day, who can fight off monsters.
Side effects? Why would there be side effects? It’s pretty normal for girls like me to lose our powers eventually someday. Whether we outgrow them or burn out.
