Nepeta takes her cue from Siffleur and doesn't leap away, but she might duck down behind him a little bit. And then peer out around his shoulder.

[A question of pure curiosity at this point. Siffleur has asked his question and gotten an answer. Still, he would like to know if the Captain's objection is simply because the fish will try to eat the other's eyes, or if this request is an unreasonable amount of energy to expend.]
Nepeta droops a little with disappointment when the Captain says no. She's ready to call that the end of it and leave, but will wait to see if her big cat friend gets an answer or not.
Fish eating the passengers would be hilarious... [sighs kinda dramatically] Creating even a facsimile of life takes a remarkable amount of energy. The kind no sane person would expend on frivolities. Even really, really funny ones.
Just... [waves hand vaguely] Set up one of those fake rabbits they have dogs chase on racetracks. That ought to be good enough.
[It would be hilarious, but Siffleur can understand needing to conserve energy. He just nods.]
I'm afraid I prefer living prey, but it's fine, the passengers provide for my needs. [He turns to Nepeta, who he knows is less eager to devour the others with him.] Would you enjoy a fake rabbit?
