It hesitates, shifting its weight and looking down at the desk instead of at her.
"I wanted to know if you had planned any sort of celebration to mark when we've reached one year on this voyage. There are people who want to do something to celebrate it for me specifically, but if you do something for everyone, maybe they won't focus on me so much."
"Thank you." It manages to flash her a brief, sincere smile, before risking a question it's not sure it wants to know the answer to. "What were the other voyages like, one year in?"
