She reaches into the box and places a single blue crane on the desk. A little friend for Friday!
Then Fio pushes the chair against the wall behind the desk. Without a ladder or a stepping stool, the chair's being used as a boost. On her tiptoes, she gets to work, affixing strings of multicolored cranes to the back wall with a piece of tape. There's twenty-five strands with forty cranes on each and if no one tries to stop her, she's going to keep at it until she finishes putting up all of them. ]
