Ava winces at the suggestion, because it's the most reasonable and obvious one. But she doesn't like talking to most people on a good day, which this very much isn't, so she anxiously shakes her head at the idea of it.
"Maybe... Stede can. He's good at that sort of thing." But she'll probably come around to it later.
A doubtful sort of nod, she finally turns to leave for the abandoned bedroom and the heavy task of salvaging something from it. But then pauses, glancing back over her shoulder.
"Has there ever been... a version of me? Here before?"
"I appreciate your concern for my current emotional state. But I can handle a lot more than anyone thinks." A slight narrowing of her eyes in thought. "Unless that's an implication you've seen evidence otherwise."
