No dressing up, no offering. Erin crushes her Mantle down, snuffing it out like a candle flame, and comes up to the bridge in the early afternoon. She stops several feet from the door, hands in her pockets.
She's armed, but the saber has been peacebonded.
"You don't need to bother Ms. Friday. I'll be gone in ten minutes if you're not willing to talk."
And then she waits. She'll be as good as her word.
"Didn't come to do that." Erin's voice is quiet but there's no hiding the twitch of rage across her face. "I want to know why you dragged me to the game after I rather specifically didn't try to attend. No bargains, no demands. Tell me to fuck off and I'm gone. But that's what I'm here for."
But she'd said something different to Tayrey. That she doesn't think the Captain bothers to lie.
After a moment she nods. "Erin is the name my mother gave me. I would prefer to be called by it if we're forced into each other's presence in the future."
Said while walking away, because she promised to go: "I don't intend to be back. You drew a pretty clear line. Maybe I'm not who I want to be yet, but I can mind my manners."
And isn't that what's really important. How you look. [snorts] Because if you could really do that, you wouldn't need to intend anything. What manners, to stomp over a line so clearly drawn for the sake of your own ego.
I'm well aware that what I want is not a factor here, so I hardly see why that would matter. Greater forces than my petty whims shape the world, and those that brought you here brought you to the show. That's all it is.
Erin nods; an acknowledgement. There really is nothing more to say...
...Well no. There's so much more to say, but not under the circumstances. Not after learning she'd managed to wrong the Captain in this matter. Some part of her wants to explain or defend herself but that's childish; he's under no obligation to like Erin or accept her.
So she takes the big game she's been talking about people having a right to not do that and goes home with it.
Captain, Probably the 30th or so?

Duly noted, Malloy. Until the next time you feel the need to perform, then.

"...I apologize for wrongly blaming you and coming here as a result. I hope you understand why I did but that doesn't change anything."
