My memories of that time are very spotty, but I don't think there was ever a time I wasn't a magician conduit... or pet, a few times. No reason to name something you don't plan on having much communication with.
[she offers over Catduggery finally. so not quite ignoring, but she has no interest in digging into that distress. she wonders if he means the cuffs, like the silver one recovered from the island that Skulduggery had told her had been melted, and somehow unlocked the memory of what he was. she wonders because the way he often fiddles with his sleeves when nervous.]
